Who is OrFA? Orphans’ Futures Alliance (OrFA) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York, United States. We believe in the power of education to change people’s lives. Our mission is to provide orphans in impoverished Southeast Asian communities with access to primary, secondary and postsecondary education. We believe education and mentorship will allow such orphans to develop both personally and professionally. We will always operate with the utmost integrity and best practices to preserve the trust of our donors, partners, and volunteers. Who is an Operation Consultant?
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the program/event planning
  • Analytical, well organized, and methodical in how business is conducted.
  • Able to listen to, lead, and influence senior management.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to our growing OrFA, its image, processes, and partners’ base.
  • A self-starter who can accomplish assignments with minimal supervision
  • Fluency in English preferred
Most importantly, we are looking for a proactive and organized individual who is able to multi-task, while at the same time being able to provide hands-on solutions to unexpected challenges. This is an opportunity to take charge and grow OrFA’s programs to help as many qualified orphans as possible. What does a Hanoi Operation Consultant do? Hanoi operation consultant will support, plan and execute all the programs and events for OrFA in Hanoi: 1.Program Management:
  • Track and deliver yearly KPIs (set by HQ)
  • Track and monitor programs/events actuals to budget and report to senior management
  • Gather expense receipts and input it into Podio periodically
  • Perform semi-annual due diligence review for each orphanage/program
  • Develop and implement new program initiatives with Vietnam manager and Int’l Manager
2.Event Planning:
  • Provide a schedule of yearly events to HQ for approval including event budgets
  • Secure sponsors for events
  • Carry out the event planning tasks as directed by Vietnam manager
  • Manage the “day of” event
3. Reporting:
  • Create reports and assessments of pipeline so as to inform senior management of expected
  • programs/events and budget for the year
  • Prepare “as needed” financial analysis for senior management
4.Government Relations:
  • Assist with Vietnam manager on complying and delivering government requests
  • Set up of meetings with appropriately qualified contacts
  • Understand how to read analytics and data in order to make appropriate decisions in marketing and negotiations
5.Outreach Coordination:
  • Partner with NGOs/NPOs and Coordinate with other volunteers assigned by senior management
  • Proactively communicate news and insights on prospective organizations and contacts
  • Gain and share an understanding of the prospect’s organization, processes, business strategies, product or service offerings and decision-making structures
  • Foster stronger engagement with OrFA volunteers and partners in Vietnam
6.Marketing:
  • Maintain OrFA VN website and all other social outlets to ensure content are up-to-date monthly and
  • relevant to the current programs
  • Manage the local marketing materials, updating PPT/collaterals, and create new contents as needed for each event as well as requested by HQ
  • Ensure that all marketing materials are bilingual and act as the translator (Eng-Viet/Viet-Eng) where needed
Working hours Monday-Friday, Up to 20 hours per week. Infrequent weekend work can be expected. This is a consultant position and subject to renewal on a yearly basis based on performance.
