National Internship Opportunity

1. Nature of the internship: A six-month internship to support the Program unit in Hanoi office involved in the implementation of grant-funded projects to build capacity of Vietnamese Government on migration-management. The intern will receive a modest monthly subsistence allowance and be covered against occupational accident and illness.

2. Tasks to be performed under this internship: Provide support to project teams on project development and implementation , including:

Support project teams in writing and editing project documents;
Conduct desk research and prepare statistical analysis, for project proposal and concept notes, and research;
Support project teams in preparing briefs and power point presentations;
Support organization and documentation of project meetings (i.e., minutes, notes for file)
Support online social media and outreach initiatives to promote IOM work;
Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Head of the Programming and Chief of Mission.

3. Experience and Academic Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in social science, international development or related field;
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken forms in English and Vietnamese;
Research and analytical skills;
Knowledge of statistical software, such as SPSS and NVIVO;
Organized, efficient and able to meet deadlines;
Knowledge of or working experience with UN agencies or NGOs on issues related to migration, counter trafficking, human rights and gender, and climate change.
