Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time 40 hours per week
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within 90 days of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Incumbent of this position will provide assistance to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Hanoi office by performing secretarial and administrative support duties, using good working knowledge of the CDC office. The incumbent will ensure that visitors and callers are appropriately referred, provide visitors and staff interpretation from Vietnamese to English and vice versa as requested, translation of documents as needed. Specifically, He/she will provide support to one or more of the sections within the CDC office and will assist the admin/clerical team as needed with conducting general clerical work.

EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of secretarial and administrative experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must have:

- Mastery of English/Vietnamese grammar, spelling, punctuation, paragraphs and sentence structure (syntax).
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing various correspondence formats (i.e. memoranda, letters, reports, faxes, etc.) as well as standardized documents and forms.
- Thorough knowledge gained from prior work experience in how to provide dependable secretarial/administrative support and assistance to CDC office.
Education Requirements:
University/college studies is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
Good Working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have:

- Proficiency in operating word processing software and have good typing skills.
- Procedural administrative training and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of other commonly-used software programs, i.e. spreadsheet and basic data management programs.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
