Working Station: Six Senses Ninh Van Bay Resort, Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa District, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam and Da Nang city

- GreenViet’s Head of the Scientific Research Department

- GreenViet Director

- Six Senses Ninh Van Bay General Manager and Sustainability Department

Description:

GreenViet cooperated with Six Senses Ninh Van Bay resort to preserve the black-shanked Douc population living there.

A field biologist will work full-time at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay resort under the long-term expert supply contract signed between GreenViet and Six Senses Corporation.

The main tasks of the field biologist are as follows:

Consult and implement wildlife research programs.
Consult solutions for wildlife management, protection, and sustainable development.
Support/ in charge guest activities of the resort.
Raise awareness and behavior change on langur & biodiversity conservation and support hosts and community.

REQUIREMENTS:

✔ Education: university degree

✔ Major: forestry, biology, environment, or other related fields.

✔ Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of experience working on nature conservation

- Experience in animal behavior/ plant research

- Experience in making plans, facilitating field activities.

✔ Knowledge:

- Basic knowledge about conversation, biodiversity, wildlife conservation. - Knowledge about organizing activities

✔ Skills:

- Ability to work in a team as well as independently

- Excellent communication skills both oral and written in Vietnamese and English - Writing report in English

- Using software such as QGIS, Locus Map, ...and research equipment such as GPS, rangefinder forestry lens, DSLR cameras.

✔ Attitude:

- Hard-working, thoughtful, honest

- Passionate interest in wildlife conservation
