Duties

Serve as senior chauffeur for the Marine Security Guard (MSG) Detachment in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The incumbent safely operates a fully armored vehicle (FA V) to transport the Marines within the city and the surrounding areas. Ensures the vehicle is in clean and serviceable condition and performs minor preventive maintenance. Analyzes the daily schedule for familiarity with a primary and alternate route to the destination, as well as potential security concerns at destination. Acts as alert observer and prevents unauthorized access to the vehicle and the surrounding area while waiting to pick up the Marines. During emergency situations drivers must also be able to drive aggressively enough to get the Marines to their intended destination in the safest manner possible. Supervises MSG chauffeurs by providing routine work guidance, weekly scheduling, and reviewing time sheets.

Qualifications and Requirements

EXPERIENCE: At least three (03) years of experience as a driver is required. Must have six months of experience in supervising/leading others.

EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) is required. [please upload degree or diploma as verification of educational requirement]

KNOWLEDGE: Must be knowledgeable of Vietnamese traffic laws, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) traffic patterns, streets, locations of major buildings and government offices, in-country travel routes and areas surrounding HCMC.

Limited Knowledge Level Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.
Good Working Knowledge Level Speaking/Reading/Writing of Vietnamese is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to deliver passengers expeditiously and safely. Must quickly and calmly evaluate risks and alternative actions always assuring the maximum safety of the passengers.
Must be able to maneuver large passenger vehicles through the streets of HCMC.
Must be able to diagnose and handle preventive vehicle maintenance. Must be able to perform minor maintenance on passenger vehicles such as checking oil, changing a tire and replacing a battery.
Must have basic computer skills to maintain reports and for communication purposes.
Must hold a valid and legally obtained Class D driver's license [Please upload valid driver's license].

Allowances:

Unique Conditions of Work Allowance: 7% of Annual basic salary (subject to review every two years).
Miscellaneous Benefits Allowance: US$1,000 per annum for FSN-09 and below, and US$3,000 per annum for FSN-10 and above.
