The U.S. Mission in Vietnam is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Custodian position in the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).Supervisory Position:

The incumbent will perform cleaning tasks for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) – Detachment Two (DET2) office and TDY (travel-on-duty) buildings. Responsibilities include:- Sweeping, mopping, and polishing all workspaces, including offices, conference rooms, restrooms, storage areas, fitness rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bars, guard shacks, and courtyards.
- Handling laundry services and gardening.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance (Public Trust).
- Candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination.
- The selected candidate must be able to start work within 45 to 90 days upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) is required. (Please include this information in your ERA application under "Education.")
Evaluations:
Candidates will be assessed based on the qualifications and requirements listed in this vacancy announcement.- Applicants may be required to complete a pre-employment language or skills test.

Qualifications:

- Basic verbal communication skills are required.

- Must have detailed knowledge of office cleaning techniques and appropriate use of cleaning supplies. (Include details in your ERA application under "Major Duties and Responsibilities.")

Benefits and Other Info
Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed (LE) Staff working at the U.S. Mission in Vietnam receive the following allowances and benefits in addition to their annual basic salary:- Allowances:
- Unique Conditions of Work Allowance: 7% of annual basic salary (subject to review every two years).
- Miscellaneous Benefits Allowance:
- $1,000 per year for FSN-09 and below.
- $3,000 per year for FSN-10 and above.
- Benefits:
- Tet Bonus: Equivalent to one month’s basic salary.
- Merit-Based Compensation: Annual salary increases based on performance.
- Annual Leave: 120 hours per year. Leave hours increase every five years of service per local labor law.
- Sick Leave: Provided as per local labor law.

Additional Employment Considerations
The following conditions apply to Eligible Family Members (EFMs), USEFMs, and AEFMs:- Current employees who used a hiring preference to gain employment and are within their first 90 days are not eligible.
- Candidates with a hiring preference who have already accepted a conditional offer may NOT receive a second offer unless they withdraw from the first offer in writing.
- Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible.
- Current employees with an "Unsatisfactory" or "Needs Improvement" rating on their most recent performance report are not eligible.
