Summary: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (90 days) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Perform guard services as Mobile Patrol Guard via all U.S. Government facilities and U.S. Consulate leased residences by patrolling these areas to ensure that U.S. Government property and personnel are safeguarded. Reacts to emergency situations upon direction by the RSO and other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of experience in police or security field.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures, guard orders, basic first aid, and fire-fighting equipment. Must be knowledgeable of local laws as applies to arrest and detention of suspicious individuals.
Education Requirements:
Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) is required.
Evaluations:
This may be tested.
LANGUAGE: Level II (Speaking/Reading/Writing) English and Level III (Speaking/Reading/Writing) Vietnamese is required. Please clarify level of your English and Vietnamese language skill on your application.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must effectively react to various situation and security incidents. Must be able to take action as necessary depending on the nature of incidents outlined in guard orders. Must be able to communicate with persons from all socioeconomic classes. Must be familiar with dispute resolution to ease potentially dangerous security situations. Must possess a valid local motorbike (A1 or A2) and vehicle (B2) license [please attach valid driver's licenses].

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
