The proposed activity will seek an experienced communications specialist to organize and support publicity, advocacy, knowledge-sharing and promotional opportunities in support of GreenViets biodiversity conservation activities and to contribute to the management of media relations, newsletter, social media channels, and website content.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Vice Director, the Communications Specialist is responsible for the following tasks:
• Content creation – writing press releases, blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for the website, social media channels to donors, stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries; creating flyers, short videos, photos, infographics,
• Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the organization’s presence through Facebook and other strategically relevant online properties
• Public relations – managing inquiries from media, individuals and other organizations and building relationships with journalists creating, executing and measuring media campaigns
• Communications strategy – responsible for creating and implementing a strategic communications plan and campaigns to more effectively reach out to the regional and national audience
• Analytics – Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
• Events and event planning – organizing different types of events to help grow the reach of GreenViet and community meetups, such as press briefings, round tables discussions; exhibitions, press tours
Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor/Master degree in PR, marketing, business, or related field
• Experience required in managing communications, public relations or marketing for NGOs or businesses launching community initiatives of minimum 3 years
• Experience in video production and photography is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written in Vietnamese and English
• Hands-on experience with social media management
• Strong IT skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint and graphics programs, CMS)
• Creative writing skills
• Ability to multitask and work good under pressure
• Excellent time management skills
• Problem-solving oriented
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
