Position: Wildlife Crime Researcher

What will you do?
- Help plan and carry out research and investigations focused on major ivory, rhino horn, tiger, and pangolin trafficking cases.
- Assume responsibility for managing, documenting, and tracking all priority investigation cases including keeping up-to-date tracking on developments and progress on the Wildlife Crime Database, daily DIR, i2, and FIDB investigations database
- Develop working relationships with representatives from key law enforcement agencies in order to facilitate information sharing and cooperation in combatting illegal wildlife trade
- Produce acceptable quality English language reports on major investigations and findings as needed. Examples of reports include Incident Summaries, Findings, subject profiles, and i2 network maps
- Under the direction of the investigation team-leader, provide support to domestic law enforcement through sharing of information and findings relating to key developments in investigations or on specific cases.
- Actively keep the investigation team leader and manager apprised of all key developments and progress, through daily communications, and through formal reporting processes.

- College degree required
- Experience in research-related work
- Quality professional Vietnamese writing skills
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Excellent communications skills and an ability to communicate and work with government partners
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and pay close attention to details
