Agriterra ( www.agriterra.org ) is a Dutch agency that aims to professionalize farmers' organizations and cooperatives worldwide, with advice from experts from the Dutch agricultural sector. Agriterra’ s opinion is that strong farmers' organizations and cooperatives lead to more participation, economic growth and a better distribution of income. Agriterra focus on economic development and work closely together with the Dutch agribusiness.
Agriterra cooperate with farmers’ organizations and cooperatives, professionalizing their functioning and service provision to their members, where the members want to increase their productivity and income, their position in the markets, access to finance and to add value to their products.
Agriterra registered in Vietnam in December 2017 and currently active in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Daklak, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue. We have ambition to expand in these provinces. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic national candidate to fill in the position of an Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare in a timely manner all monthly financial information including monthly accounts, balance sheets and all schedules requested by Agriterra Head Office in line with Agriterra Financial Policies and Guidelines.
- All payment requests are checked to ensure sufficient and adequate supporting documents to comply with Agriterra financial manual and then settle on time.
- All bank books are reconciled at the end of the month.
- Assist Country Representative to prepare annual budget (DGIS)
- Assist to review client’s budget and develop/review event budget, approval and realization
- Monitor donor income and expenditure and report, burn rate of grant project(s) and communicate with relevant BA for timely improvement action, monitor payment to clients.
- Review grant donor required financial report before submission to donor.
- Guide and support clients to ensure minimized financial risk and compliance with donor guidelines and regulations.
- Provide orientation to new employee and client when required
- Ensure finance documents filling system in systematic ways with safeguard and confidentiality.
- Update cost norm, financial guideline when needed.
- Checking monthly SHUI, salary and make payment.
- Quarterly PIT declaration and PIT finalization for local staff & expatriate(s).
- Other tasks as assigned
Candidate profile
- Native Vietnamese;
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting/ Finance or Economics major;
- Experience in Quick book accounting software and USAID funded project are credits.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial management and contracting at international private or development organizations;
- Good organizing skills and good team spirit and enthusiasm;
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese);
- Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Power Points).
Contract Duration:
The selected candidate will be offered initially for one-year employment contract with two months’ probation time and possibility of extension subject to performance and availability of funds.
