  • Start date: at the beginning of September or earlier
  • REPORTS TO: Director
  • POSITIONS REPORTING TO THIS ONE: Project Staff, Volunteers
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile office petty cash (PC), record PC expenses of the office in to accounting book and replenish as needed
  • Keep record of local financial transaction in line with Vietnamese Accounting Standards
  • Work with the bank for cash withdrawal, bank transfers and other bank related transaction issues.
  • Prepare and submit tax reports on a timely basis
  • Be in charge of all contracts with local external suppliers (negotiating, drafting, submitting for approval, checking the service completion status)
  • Support to prepare financial statements and invoices to the donor as required
  • Assist in preparing for external audit as requested
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports upon request
  • Provide timely financial reports and budgets
  • Collect receipts and other supporting documents of payment requisitions from project team and process payments
  • Track fundings received from different projects
  • Administer local various tax-related requirements as necessary (exemption of PIT, VAT, customs duties...)
  • Be in charge of HR procedures: working contracts, pay slips, paid holidays;
  • Act as key person to liaise with Insurance organizations, Tax Department, prepare paperwork and complete necessary procedures of registration/notification for new and departure staff, claim for staff benefit from insurance organizations, prepare for year-end liquidation/reconciliation of insurances and taxes.
  • Prepare staff payroll, tax and benefits.
  • Prepare payments for salary, taxes and insurances for staff and consultants
  • Provide orientation to staff on insurances, taxes and finance related issues.
  • Coordinate with the team for logistics arrangement of the project local events
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain contact lists, including donors and sponsors
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Other administrative and accounting works
Requirements:
  • University graduate with finance/accounting background preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Government Social Insurance and Tax laws.
  • Experience in all aspects of accounting including account payables, account receivables, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, payroll administration, and tax accounting.
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with NGOs is a plus.
  • Excellent Vietnamese and good English skills
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Well-organized and attention to details skills.
  • Good communication skills.
Job Details:
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week at office site (flextime)
  • Occasional weekend availability for events falling on the weekend
  • Location: KVC Office, located at 587 Lac Long Quan, Tay Ho, Hanoi
Compensation 
  • Salary is negotiable but KVC is committed to paying a living wage
