It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis. Tasks and Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Co-ordinator / Head, Economic Activities, and the direct supervision of the Executive Secretary, the incumbent performs daily administrative and secretarial tasks. More specifically, the Administrative Assistant is: Managing travel arrangements for OCEEA staff and external sponsored participants; Assisting in management of extra-budgetary and UB project budgets; Maintaining a variety of office records, reference and materials; Summarising background material required for preparation of papers and circulating documents; Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of conferences and meetings organised by OCEEA; Performing other administrative, supportive, monitoring and record-keeping functions related to OCEEA activities and organisation of events as requested.   • Completed secondary education preferably supplemented by secretarial training, including formal courses related to the work of the organisation;
  • Three years of administrative, secretarial and clerical experience;
  • Experience in accounting is desirable; experience from practical work related to international projects is an asset;
  • Professional fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or another OSCE working language would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
  • Ability to operate standard computer applications including practical experience with Microsoft package.

Remuneration Package Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction, is EUR 3,416 (12 times a year). OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Austria. Social benefits will include possibility of participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
