- Salary: US $13,827.00/year

Duties
Incumbent of this position will provide secretarial and administrative supports to the General Services Officers (GSO) and GSO Locally Employed (LE) staff by using good working knowledge of the Embassy, Management Section, and GSO office. In addition, the incumbent will serve as a back-up receptionist for the Management Office. The incumbent will perform office management and administrative duties; receive and screen all incoming correspondences, mails and memos. The incumbent will serve as advisor on protocols with host Government officials and local business. The incumbent will provide translation and interpretation services for the Supervisory GSO. The incumbent will control and maintain office supply levels and operational condition of all office equipment in the Management section. The incumbent will perform sub-cashier duties to the Embassy Principal Cashier and is authorized with an advance of $1000.00 USD for making approved petty cash payments for official goods and services. The incumbent will prepare time and attendance reports for LE Staff in GSO, Community Liaison Office, Executive Office and Facilities (2) section. The incumbent will act as Travel arranger for GSO officers and LE staff.Qualifications requirements
Education: College or University studies is required.Experience: Minimum three years specific progressively responsible professional experience in secretarial or administrative assistance, with at least two years providing support to a senior executive at a governmental, international, or multi-national organization, is required.Languages:
- Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
- Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Be able to perform computer operation with commonly used programs such as word processing, electronic calendaring systems, and basic accounting.
- Possess deep organizational skills with a focus on customer service.
- Be able to communicate with both American Officers and Vietnamese staff in the U.S. Mission, Vietnamese Government officials up to senior and ministerial rank in friendly and supportive nature.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
