Under direct supervision of the Senior Security Investigator, incumbent of this position will be responsible for providing local administrative support to the Regional Security Office (RSO) consisting of American Officers and local employee (LE) Staff who work in the investigation team. The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate and timely translation of formal correspondence, Diplomatic Notes, news articles of security interest and other important documents required by the RSO. S/he will also be in charge of database systems that are vital for the security of the Mission, assist Foreign Service National Investigators (FSNI) in the LE Staff background investigation program, and will be timekeeper for LE Staff. S/he will also schedule appointments for fingerprinting and handle all procurement for the investigation team.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of experience in office administrative and secretarial work is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a good working knowledge of administrative office procedures and procedures of agencies and organization normally contacted by the Investigative staff.
Education Requirements: College or University studies is required.
- Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
- Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have good knowledge of computer systems and application including word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
- Must have good typing and good organizational skills
- Must be able to work as a team.
- Writing skill. (This will be tested.)
