The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people- to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Key responsibilities include
Alumni Events
- Provide logistics and promotional support for the delivery of a range of high-quality alumni
and public diplomacy events, including but not limited to venue and travel arrangements,
invitations, reception and closing requirements.
- Working with and providing support in monitoring Alumni Professional Groups activities.
- Support the production of promotional materials and communication outputs for events, ensuring brand consistency and appropriate messaging.
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for alumni activities including
data collection and maintenance, and reporting on alumni activities.
Australian Alumni Grants Fund Administration (AAGF)
- Provide support for the delivery of the AAGF covering promotions, grant preparation and
grant administration
Alumni Updates
- Working closely with the IT/MIS Manager, maintain an up-to-date and effective alumni
database system that supports and promotes registration of alumni and facilitates access to
alumni information for multiple purposes, such as alumni networking and professional
development.
- Handle alumni enquiries via email and phone, including the provision of online academic
databases to alumni and Australia Awards alumni applications for returning to Australia
within two- year exclusion periods.
- Use online platforms, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, to search and target alumni, and
register them on the database.
Other
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information or support from the Australian Embassy or
Consulate relating to alumni activities.
- Ensure gender equality, disability and social inclusion considerations are promoted and
mainstreamed into alumni engagement activities where possible.
- Adhere to and foster compliance with DFAT’s policies regarding child protection, preventing
sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, privacy, fraud, and other cross-cutting areas.
- Support financial management tasks related to alumni engagement activities.
- Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required
Selection Criteria
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications in public relations, human resources,
business or equivalent professional experience
Experience
- Preferable at least 2 years professional experience working in a similar role and/or in the
development sector
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to use databases designed for supporting
networks of people
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, in Vietnamese and English
language
- Good graphic design skills preferred
- Knowledge of Vietnam’s education and/or development and international engagement
priorities an advantage
Personal Attributes
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals
- Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and complete simultaneous projects
- Enjoy working in a team with a can-do attitude
- Can work independently and good problem-solving ability
- Great attention to details
