What you’ll be doing
Our Viet Nam based team are looking a well-connected and energetic Business Development Manager with strong networks in Viet Nam to help New Zealand Food & Beverage, Agri and Services businesses enter and thrive in the local market. In this exciting role you’ll deliver to the needs of an existing portfolio of diverse NZ business operating in Viet Nam. The Vietnamese market is an amazing place to do business – super competitive, innovative and demanding customer expectations. As a result, your ability to execute and deliver exceptional results for our customers, deep insights on a variety of sectors and even deeper networks to leverage will be highly valued.
You will be part of a dedicated, hardworking, customer centric team in our Ho Chi Minh office that helps New Zealand companies meet the challenges of 2023 head-on. Using your excellent local market knowledge, you will work proactively alongside a select group of New Zealand F&B, consumer goods, services and technology organisations to guide their business growth plans through providing sensible business planning, strategic insight and guidance.
What you’ll need to be successful
You will be a confident, independent thinker who has built significant commercial experience across multiple industries over your career. Building new relationships and networks will come naturally to you and you will have well developed listening, influencing and communication skills. Ideally you will have had some exposure to government at a local or central level and would enjoy being part of a collaborative team where diversity of opinions and sharing ideas is valued.
We have a high functioning team, where collaboration and flexibility are essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle varied workloads, the focus on outcomes for the customer, are the keys to success in this role.
