The Global Green Start-up Competition in the Netherlands

ClimateLaunchpad (CLP) is the Global Green Business Ideas Competition which is run and administered by EIT Climate-KIC Holding B.V., an association duly incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands. EIT Climate-KIC Partner - The ‘Delft University of Technology’ - pre-finances the majority of the ClimateLaunchpad Program’s costs and is the formal owner of the project.

CLP’s mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change. The competition creates a stage for those ideas. We are people determined to address the negative impacts of climate change by way of innovation and invention.

Your idea can be an innovation in renewable energy, a sustainable transition in the food chain, a mind shift in urban mobility or any other way to tackle climate change. As long as it’s in the cleantech domain: “a scientific innovation that uses existing technology to do more with fewer resources and has a commercial driver.

The 2021 Climate Launchpad is open in many countries. In Vietnam this year, the Centre for Creativity and Sustainability (CCS) is the country organizer and the competition is supported by Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF). The Hanns Seidel Foundation is a political foundation based in Munich, Germany, and registered as an INGO in Vietnam working towards contributing to sustainable, social, economic and institutional development.

Join us if you are:

a. Anyone with a promising cleantech idea, being a start-up, SME, researcher, student, public organization, consultant, an engineering company, a combination of these or anyone else.

b. And you:

●       have no substantial revenue;

●       you have attracted less than € 200,000 in investment;

●       you have not yet sold products, solutions or prototypes on commercial terms.

There are four rounds to the competition:

Step 1: Boot Camp

Step 2: National Finals

Step 3: Regional Finals

Step 4: Global Grand Final

The top teams in the world pitch against each other on the international stage. Here, there is glory to be won.

In order to submit your application, please fill in all mandatory fields and answers all the questions within the ClimateLaunchpad Entry Form HERE.

Since the Global Grand Final Round of this Competition will be held online and the finalists will deliver their pitch in English, excellent command of English (both written and spoken) will be an obvious advantage. However, we encourage you not to miss your chance because of your English. The key innovators/entrepreneurs should consult with us to find a solution for the language issue.
