OUR HISTORY
Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) inherited 10-year experience and reputation from Consultation of Investment in Health Promotion (CIHP), which was found in 1999. CIHP was known as a social entrepreneur which worked as a not-for-profit civil society organization from the time of start. After 10 years of operation CIHP gained respected reputation in research and creative intervention models in the fields of health management, primary health care, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender based violence prevention.
Given the changing social context and opportunities of international collaboration to address health problems in Vietnam, in late 2008 CCIHP was established as an affiliated organization of CIHP, and has been registered under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA). CCIHP has continued CIHP vision and mission, and develops further as it is now in a better political position.
CCIHP today is managed by a team of 4 medical doctors – each with more than 20 years of experiences in public health, and 1 with social science background and 15 years of intervention management. About 20 full-time staffs with various background in medicine, public health, social sciences, psychology, accounting and administration, are working in 6 areas of focus:
