The Center’s staff bring with them expertise and years of experience in different fields, from mechanics, energy, agriculture, economy to product design. Currently, CCS is supporting the development of three brands which represent our three main fields of activities: i-Nature (Zero-waste Agriculture); Green Street (Sustainable products); and Elegance (Renewable energy and Clean technologies).

History

  • From September 2013 to March 2014:

Founded on 3rd September 2013, CCS was a response to the need of sustaining the success of Sustainable Product Innovation project (SPIN: http://www.switch-asia.eu/projects/spin-vcl/). This is a project funded by the EU from 2010 to 2014 as a part of the SWITCH-ASIA program and is dedicated to creating innovative changes to product design, packaging and production among small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, with the ultimate goal of promoting sustainable development in these countries.

  • From March 2014 to 2015:

After the end of SPIN project in March 2014, CCS continued, replicated and expanded the activities of SPIN in order to further develop a network of sustainable producers, consumers and product designers in Vietnam. CCS served as an umbrella organization for three main teams: agriculture team (i-Nature), product development team (Green Street); and cleaner production and green technology team (Elegance).

  • From 2015 until now:

CCS set its vision to become a leading R&D, consultancy and capacity building organization in the field of promoting Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in Vietnam. The Center’s main mission is to promote sustainability in Vietnam through the implementation of R&D, sustainability consultancy, and capacity building activities.
