Summary: The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time 40 hours per week
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within 90 days of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

On occasion, jobholder may have to travel with DAO personnel to locations outside of capitol city.
Duties
Incumbent of this position will supervise the Defense Attaché Office (DAO) motor pool and is responsible for upkeep, maintenance, records, and operation of all DAO vehicles. S/he will dispatch and coordinate transportation requirements, and chauffeurs DAO personnel and designated official DoD visitors as required. The incumbent will serve as first tier of security/force protection for DAO or other designated personnel during DAO transportation operations. The incumbent will manage and oversee over $300,000 of DAO property. S/he will work 40 hours per week.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of driving experience as a professional driver is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Must be knowledgeable of DAO, Embassy, host nation government and U.S. government hierarchy for appropriate protocol during transportation operations.
- Must be very knowledgeable of host nation roads, transportation network, driving, and safety conditions at all times.
- Must know and be current on security issues throughout the country when conducting vehicle operations.
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate (grade 12) or equivalent is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
Level 2 (limited knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
Level 3 (Good Working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess a valid Vietnamese driver's license for passenger vehicles (Vietnamese category D driver's license or higher).
- Must have the ability to work independently and organize priorities.
-Must have physically able to drive day or night.
- Must be able to prepare and present briefings to groups of 10-20 VIPs on short notice.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
