MSD RECRUITS CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAM INTERN (CYPI) 

  • Job title: Project Intern for the Children and Youth Program

A. BACKGROUND

Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) is a Vietnamese Non-governmental Organization established on March 05, 2008. In 2021, MSD officially became United Way Vietnam, a member of United Way Worldwide, the largest global network of non-profit organizations.

 B. ASSIGNMENT REQUESTS:

  1. Assignment purpose: The CYPI will support his/her direct supervisor and the team to manage and execute MSD’s program/project activities.  2.
  2. Working location: mainly in Hanoi and work trips in several provinces.
  3. Job assigned manager and technical supporter: direct report to and be supported/coached by the Program Management Officer, and/or Program Director.
  4. Supervision: Volunteers.
  5. Main responsibilities: Assisting with MSD projects/programs throughout the project/program management cycle (designing, developing the plan, coordinating the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation). The main assignments for 2024 will include but are not limited to (1) Project Increased Accountability to Eliminate Violence and Discrimination Against Children with Disabilities (AVAC): support the Program Officer in coordinating activities within the project framework, especially the Project Summary Workshop taking place in the second half of November. (2) Project Happy School: support the Program Officer in collecting information on beneficiary schools, drafting necessary administrative documents in the working process with local schools, and supporting the coordination and organization of events within the project framework. (3) Project STEMherVN 2024: support the Program Officer in selecting Student Ambassadors, arranging and coordinating logistics and content of online and offline training sessions of the STEMherVN 2024 Ambassadors. Drafting necessary administrative documents in the working process with partners who are sponsors and high schools or competent state agencies.

C. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated or final year of bachelor’s in social science, social works, or related fields;
  • Ensure compliance with regulations on the protection of children’s rights, without any violations and harm to children’s rights and interests;
  • Experienced working with vulnerable communities, such as children, LGBTIQ+, people with disability, ethnic minorities, migrant people, and so on.
  • High command of communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English;
  • Strategic thinking and analysis;
  • Strong MS Office;
  • Work independently and professionally; good teamwork;
  • High commitment to work. Being able to commit for at least 6 months.
