Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a 22 year history working in Vietnam, SPIR has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 5 sectors health, education, protection, livelihood and relief.
SPIR Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.
Position Title: Collaborator for Education & Training Project
Position Duration: 30 days (2 November, 2020 to 18 December, 2020)
Duty Station: Ha Noi
Reports To: Education & Training Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to conceptualize, make a plan and conduct “Dining in the dark” event.
- Be responsible for connecting, contacting and exchanging information with visually impaired students.
- Work with service suppliers who serve “Dining in the dark” event.
- Prepare logistics for the event.
- Conduct survey and evaluate the effectiveness of the event after the event takes place.
- Can be senior students or older.
- Experience in event planning.
- Priority is given to those who has experience working with people with disabilities or people in disadvantaged groups.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
