Summary of Duties:

Under the direction of the Management and Consular Officer, the Common Service Officer is responsible for the delivery of the following:  property and facilities management, material management and procurement, and contracting.

Duties include:

• planning and administering services related to the management and maintenance of the Consulate General’s office and residential properties;
• planning and administering the supply and maintenance of required furnishings, equipment and appliances;
• developing and maintaining a broad network of contacts and contracts with suppliers and contractors;
• providing advice and guidance to a diverse base of clients; researching and drafting reports and planning documents/project plans;
• supervising other locally engaged staff directly;
• preparing the annual estimates for property and material budgets, monitoring and reporting on budget expenditures against forecasts;
• maintaining statistics and records of property and procurement value;
• monitoring local property market;
• performing other duties.
