Communication Consultant, Vaccine and Immunization Program (PATH)

Title: Fulltime Communication Consultant Division: Vietnam Country Program

In Vietnam, PATH aims in short-term to support and work with international partners (USAID, JSI) and local partners (Government authorities, Institutes, Provincial Departments of Health and Provincial Centers for Disease Control) to carry out the project of Technical Assistance to Support COVID-19 Vaccination for Children Under 12 and Its Integration into Routine Immunization rooted in Primary Health Care in Vietnam. This project would be conducted to support the project provinces to achieve their COVID-19 vaccination targets integrated with routine immunization to provoke effectiveness of primary healthcare system and saving resources.

PATH will hire a consultant who will support the PATH, international partners (USAID, JSI) and local partners, and work together to support for communication activities of the project including to develop a plan in detail according to approval workplan, regular report and communication message writing, plan for video development, technical support for advocacy plan and implementation in the project sites and others.

This position will report to the Vaccine and Immunization Team Lead.

Required Experiences and Skills:

To be considered, candidates must have a good understanding of vaccination/immunization program and public health and at least 3 years (and preferably more) of relevant working experience.

• University or bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of job-related experience in public health and vaccines and immunization;
• Good understanding of the health system and national expanded immunization program in Vietnam;
• Excellent skills on report writing, communication message writing, video development and advocacy planning;
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with teamwork environment with solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills with ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
• Strong oral and written proficiencies in English and Vietnamese;
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), webinar and online communication applications.

Specific responsibilities of the consultant

1. Attend PATH weekly team meetings
2. Provide technical support for regular report writing.
3. Provide technical support for communication message writing.
4. Provide technical support for video development.
5. Provide technical support for advocacy plan and implementation in the project sites
6. Other tasks as required

Timeline

• From: March 15 (tentatively) to September 30, 2023:
  • Maximum Level of effort: full time
  • Travelling time: Up to 30%

Deliverables

PATH primary contact: The consultant will work directly with – Team Lead - Vaccine and Immunization.
