Communications Officer is responsible for CSIP’s communication activities toward different target audiences, promoting CSIP as a leader and pioneer in building social entrepreneurship field in Vietnam, in order to engage Government, private sector and community in achieving CSIP’s vision and mission. The position’s main duties are: i/ to delivery CSIP’s communication plan in public awareness raising, public relations and campaigns; ii/ to promote CSIP’s program interventions to target audience.
With support of the CEO and in conjunction with contracted professional communication agencies/experts and communication volunteers to:
● Develop and deliver CSIP’s annual communication plan and budget
● Conduct research on the attitudes and perceptions of the target audience. Monitor relevant forums, social media sites, product review sites and the press to assess attitudes toward CSIP, in order to build positive and supportive attitudes toward CSIP’s reputation and image; identify opportunities to do CSIP’s branding, raise public awareness on CSIP and social entrepreneurship.
● Develop and keep CSIP’s website and Facebook alive, interactive and resourceful for those interested in social entrepreneurship in Vietnam and the region. Job includes: plan and write content, act as an admin for CSIP’s website and Facebook, liaison with technical teams to ensure the website and Facebook’s high functioning and reaching to target audiences
● Media relations: provide the media with information about the CSIP, its program activities and impacts. Prepare news releases for new programs/projects or campaigns, new partnership agreement, organisation’s significant changes/updates, etc. Engage media in CSIP’s program’s activities and encourage them to spread news to the public, produce media products to inspire and engage target audience in social entrepreneurship movement.
● Campaign: work with relevant partners to design the campaigns and coordinate for the implementation.
● Other communications material: Plan content, write/update copy, design (basic) for publications such as video clips, presentations, project’s brochures, organisation’s brochures, annual reports for shareholders, case studies and newsletters.
● Program promotions: Provide communication support to the implementation of CSIP’s programs and business promotion activities:
- With inputs from program teams to plan, develop content and design program’s brochures/posters/updates in CSIP’s websites and Facebook.
- Support program’s teams to organise events, workshops: to plan, develop content and design for the event’s communication documents, press release, invitations, follow up with media (as and when required)
- Update program’s communication database, including clips, photos, printed material...
- Draft case studies and relevant project communication documents on varied issues (as and when required)
● Maintain documentation management system (hard copy and on network)
Other
● Comply with financial regulations and procedures; track relevant communication budget (income and expenditures)
● Liaise regularly with other staff, finance and administrative team and perform any other tasks as agreed for overall operational needs in addition to those agreed with CEO.
Requirements
● BA Degree is required; Marketing, Communication or fund raising qualification is preferable;
● Vietnamese Citizen with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English;
● At least 2 year working experience in designing and executing communication activities, preferably in development programmes;
● Knowledge of and experience in media production, communication. This includes written, oral, and visual media. Experience working with press is an advantage;
● Ability to communicate with people insides and outside the organisation, representing the organisation to press, social entrepreneurs, the public, government, corporate and other external sources;
● Obtain basic product designing skills that can be used to design communication products such as poster, brochures, banners...
● Good knowledge and skills on social media;
● Very strong interpersonal skills, good team work and highly motivated with a positive attitude and able to work under pressure;
● Emotional maturity, self-discipline, be creative and hard working to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a multiple tasks professional working environment;
● Strong desire to use his/her own professional expertise to support social enterprises to create positive social and environmental impact.
