About us

The Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition (VIET) is a newly established think tank with the mission to accelerate the Energy Transition process in Vietnam towards a low carbon economy based on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

Our main objective is to deliver fact-based analysis on key drivers for the energy transition and provide a platform for discussions on technological, economic and policy aspects of the Vietnamese energy sector. We also focus on broader information and communication exchange towards the public and policy dialogues. Created in August 2018, we are the first independent think tank in Vietnam specialized in the energy transition and climate protection.

We are seeking to hire at the earliest possible starting date 3 following positions:

• A Communication Specialist
• A Power System Analyst
• A Renewable Energy Analyst

Job description: Communication specialist:

You will be collaborating to develop a global communication and media strategy for VIET. You will push boundaries of digital experience via content and communication. Job description: Power System Analyst and Renewable Energy Analyst 

In this role, you will be in-charge of respective technical issues of VIET.  You will directly participate in our studies and projects and provide expertise relating to your professional area. Thus, you will need to possess sound knowledge of renewable energy and power market. You will also need to have good understanding on renewable energy incentives and opportunities for innovation. The position is based in Hanoi. Term of contract is 12 months full time after 2 months’ probation period, with a possible extension depending on results. The position is available immediately. The selection process is competitive.
