The Role
To develop high-quality communications materials and coordinate information and communication activities for Oxfam in Vietnam including branding.

Reporting to: | Head of Knowledge Management and Communications |
Based in: |
Hanoi with frequent travel. |
Key responsibilities:
Communications
- Contribute to developing Oxfam’s Country Communication and Knowledge Management Strategy;
- Take lead in planning and executing communications targeting both internal and external audiences;
- Manage, plan and produce high-quality communication print and digital communication contents and products and follow the Oxfam sign off protocols;
- Support programme and advocacy teams to develop project & campaigns communication strategy and communication implementation plans;
- Collect and compile case studies and human stories from different programmes to provide evidence for advocacy and fund-raising efforts;
- Provide insightful information from projects/programmes for media relations;
- Participate in proposal development and other fundraising activities.
Branding
- Ensure the use of brand tools including logos, fonts, writing style, templates and artwork is line with Oxfam regulation;
- Take lead in brand risk management;
- Organise induction and refresh training on brand management.
Learning, Sharing and Facilitating
- Support the Head of Knowledge Management and Communications to promote internal learning and sharing practice within and beyond Oxfam;
- Support programme and advocacy teams to develop project & campaigns communication strategy and communication implementation plans;
- Organise and facilitate capacity building for Oxfam staff and partners on communication and information management.
Skills, experience and knowledge
Essential
- Three-year experience as a communication specialist in international organisations;
- Have a bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism or related fields;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English and Vietnamese;
- Broad knowledge of relevant thematic areas (human rights, rural livelihoods, gender and inequality);
- Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese;
- Experience in training, facilitation, mentoring and support for capacity building;
- High digital literacy with innovative edge;
- Experience in ensuring a quality and accessible filing system of communication guidelines and products;
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities;
- Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work;
- Commitment to Oxfam’s safeguarding policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible;
- Willingness to travel to programme/project areas including to disaster areas during emergency responses.
In addition, you need to
- Be a team player;
- Have good social and interpersonal skills;
- Be able to work across boundaries and enable cooperation among different groups/actors;
- Be able to work under pressure in response to changing needs.
Gross Annual Salary Range: VND343,685,322 – VND754,039,399
