Position Description
ENV is looking for a Communications Specialist who is a charismatic professional to work closely with our national and international senior officers to strengthen our program. An ability to think creatively and develop new ideas and initiatives, strong leadership capacity, and excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. Reporting to the Program Director, this person would be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the ENV Communications and Public Awareness Department. She/he promotes the strengthening and growth of ENV through enhancing the organization’s public image and profile and coordinating public awareness activities.Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Director in supervision of the duties of Communications and Public Awareness Team
- Coordinate ENV’s specific campaigns with the media, hosting media workshops
- Produce regular media statements on key issues
- Manage and promote ENV messaging to Vietnamese audiences through a range of viral and social media communications channels including distribution lists, Facebook, and other mechanisms
- Coordinate the development, production, and effective release of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on TV
- Produce internal reports and donor reports (English) based on the outcome of various ENV campaign activities
Requirements
- University degree
- Excellent Vietnamese and English language written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and pay close attention to detail
- Outward character and diplomacy skills
- Outstanding organization, management, and leadership skills
- Openminded and possess strong potential to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to ENV’s non-traditional way of working
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of conservation issues, especially demand reduction campaigns, are advantageous
- Graphic design and visual communication skills are advantageous
