Gaia Nature Conservation (Trung tam Bao ton Thien nhien Gaia) is a non-profit organization, based in Ho Chi Minh City. Gaia's mission is to empower people and promote advance activities in the field of nature conservation and environmental protection, in order to create a future in which people live in harmony with Mother Earth. Gaia is recruiting a programme coordinator in afforestation and nature experience. Community Engagement is one of the core programmes of Gaia to inspire and encourage the participation of different target groups such as businesses, the public, students, young people, leaders, press, and etc. into afforestation and nature conservation activities through behaviour changed communications and education activities.

Position: Community Engagement Coordinator Programme: Community Engagement Time: As soon as possible Supervisor: Director of the Gaia Nature Conservation. Job Type: Full-time. Working place: Gaia headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and business trips to project areas.

JOB BRIEF

Coordinate the development and implementation of Gaia's Community Engagement Programme

MAIN TASKS

1. Coordinate and ensure Community Engagement activities are carried out as planned.
2. Ensure programme reports are developed according to donor requirements
3. Manage volunteers and collaborators of the Community Engagement Programme.
4. Support communications, and fundraising activities.
5. Develop Community Connection Programme with Gaia team
6. Participate in material delopment, and related research...

QUALIFICATION

1. Share Gaia's values and wish to develop the career in nature conservation.
2. 3-5 years of experience in project coordination and management in the fields of conservation educations and communications. Experience with NGOs is preferred.
3. Have good knowledge and experience about communications and education in tree planting, afforestation, nature and wildife. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with different target groups.
4. Willing to travel to different forests and project sites
5. Demonstrate leadership and mastery of activities.
6. Ability to deliver inspiring talks to target groups, and show strong passion for the work.
7. Good communication skills; ability to learn quickly.
8. Well use of office applications on computers.
9. Be able to speak English is a big advantage.
