- Support and advise the Asia Gender team in the design, supervision, and evaluation of new and existing projects to ensure rigor and timelinessin results management.
- Review and analyze Asia Advisory and Investment project data and other key indicators included in the annual Corporate Scorecard, commitments made under the capital increase, or from the regional Gender Strategy Implementation Plan (GSIP). Produce quarterly reports as well as ad hoc reports, presentations, and input for strategy documents as needed and in close collaboration with the Regional Gender Leads.
- Conduct data analysis and advise team on collection of data on research projects and client advisory engagements done in house. This includes analyzing HR statistics, business metrics, qualitative data and survey data from individual clients or groups of clients. Advise team on data visualization and contribute substantially to client deliverables and research outputs.
- Advise and support substantial research projects contracted by the team through the development of Terms of References; review of proposals; input on proposed research instruments; and detailed review of drafts.
- Work with Results Measurement colleagues and gender teams to develop project-level results frameworks and articulate development impact at inception/design stage of projects, including at concept note and pre-implementation stages
- Input results and update results framework of all projects as needed during 6-monthly project supervision periods.
- Aggregate and validate results as needed, for donor reporting, World Bank Group Country
- Partnership Frameworks, and other corporate reporting requirements;
- Conduct statistical analysis of results data feeding into reports, presentations, and operational tools;
- Ensure the quality of deliverables related to project evaluations and impact assessment studies (Terms of Reference, firm selection, inception and final report);
- Draft reports and PowerPoint presentations focused on the development impact of Gender AS projects and gender-flagged projects throughout the EAP region;
- Aggregate results and draft text for Asia Pacific Quarterly Gender Reports;
- Masters degree in Economics, Social Science, Business, Development Planning, Statistics, Information Management, or related technical field;
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in the design and implementation of household/client surveys, performance monitoring and evaluation frameworks and systems;
- Good understanding of the basic concepts of results measurement (logical frameworks, indicators, data collection methods and tools, evaluation design etc.);
- Good understanding of the basic concepts of gender and private sector development, including the business case for gender equality.
- Strong skills in research and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, using Excel and/or other statistical packages(Stata, SPSS, R);
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English (in addition, knowledge of one or more Asian languages would be an asset. Note that Vietnamese language is not a requirement);
- Research and working experience in the energy sector, investment banking, and/or development financing are an explicit asset;
- Willingness to understand and learn to navigate IFC internal systems, processes, standards and procedures, and accept a contract based in Vietnam paid in local currency (based on USD salary scale for Vietnam).
