Nature of consultancy: Conceptualizing, developing and formatting graphic design of Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) materials for the implementation of project "Tackling Modern Slavery in Viet Nam (TMSV): An interagency programme for behaviour change, access to justice and reintegration support”,  a UK Home Office-funded project to combat modern slavery and human trafficking from Vietnam across five key provinces (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh) under part-time basis. Objective: To design the most effective BCC materials for the project Target: Beneficiaries and stakeholders   2. IOM in Viet Nam: The International Organization for Migration (IOM) promotes humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. As one of the leading intergovernmental organizations countering human trafficking in Viet Nam, IOM draws on extensive international and local expertise to migration matters, including counter trafficking.  IOM’s experience is demonstrated through recent and ongoing projects funded by the Governments of the United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Canada, Italy, Sweden, and the private sector.  The projects have been specializing in the design and delivery of capacity building, research, community awareness raising activities and provision of high impact direct assistance for vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking across all geographic regions of Viet Nam.   3. IOM project to which the consultancy is contributing: Tackling Modern Slavery in Viet Nam (TMSV): An interagency programme for behaviour change, access to justice and reintegration support”, a UK Home Office-funded project to combat modern slavery and human trafficking from Vietnam across five key provinces (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh). The project will contribute to preventing and protecting vulnerable Vietnamese populations from becoming victims of modern slavery and trafficking in general and in particular to the UK. More specifically the project works toward the following Impact Areas: Impact Area 1: Preventing vulnerable populations from becoming victims by reducing vulnerability to modern slavery through changing behaviours and attitudes and promoting alternative livelihoods opportunities for specific vulnerable groups at risks of trafficking. Impact Area 2: Strengthening the judicial responses to human trafficking by enhancing access to justice for VoTs/PvoTs by strengthening effectiveness in prosecution and implementation of amended trafficking legislation. Impact Area 3: Supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of victims through the identification, protection, support and successful reintegration of VoTs/PvoTs within the target provinces Under the Impact Area 1, the consultancy will contribute to the development of BCC materials for the prevention interventions implemented by IOM   4. Tasks to be performed under this contract: The Consultant will undertake the following responsibilities:
  1. Support the TMSV Project Team to conceptualize the most effective BCC materials in the framework of the project in coordination with BCC specialists from Sage + Spark field teams based in Bangkok, Thailand,
  2. Develop, edit and format graphic design for BCC materials which include all written, printed and electronical materials for disseminating the information on mass media and mid media and community outreach events in the 9 hotspots city and districts. IOM will review the entire description and design developed by the Consultant pursuant to this contract. The materials can be report cover, banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, bulletins, flyers, cards, t-shirts, but not limited to other types of products.
  5. Education and Experience: The qualified candidate should possess:
  • University/Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, or relevant fields
  • Strong design skills, and experience of using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, CorelDraw and other relevant programmes
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes and colour management
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • Relevant experience working on the issues related to human trafficking, and/or migration is desirable
  6.
