Consultant to conduct SHN Endline Evaluation (Save the Children)

Consultant’s responsibilities:

The selected consultant will work with a project officer who are in charge of MEAL for the project and the Project Manager to accomplish the following key tasks:

  • Reviewing existing project documents including secondary data sources
  • Developing the research proposal
  • Collecting qualitative data and monitoring the quantitative data collection as KAP survey data collection task will be done by SCI staff;
    • Creating/adapting data collection tools
    • Obtaining the necessary ethical clearance
  • Conducting the data entry and analysis
    • Enter data of the collected questionnaires into SPSS/other tools for data analysis, and be in charge of tape transcription
    • Check data for data entry errors (for this purposes, 5% of the data need to be entered twice),
    • Conduct qualitative data analysis
  • Writing a final report and preparing Powerpoint slides for presentation of project results (in English)
  • Providing programmatic recommendations to the SC implementation team where to focus efforts and suggesting targets for future progress

Consultant’s Qualifications:

  • MA Degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., social sciences, public health...
  • At least 5 years experiences in conducting Monitoring and Evaluation research on development projects, especially on school health and nutrition (oral health care, WASH at school, nutrition at school…)
  • Proven experience in doing quantitative, qualitative research and writing research reports;
  • Competent user of soft-wares designed to facilitate qualitative (e.g. MaxQDA, NVivo) and quantitative data analysis (e.g. Epidata, SPSS, Stata)
  • Good English language skills
