Consultant to Develop 3 New E-learning Lessons

I. Consultant’s responsibilities:

Improving the quality of Employability skill on the ELearning system:

  • Develop three lessons for ELearning, including Becoming professional; Workers’ rights and safety at work; and Problem-solving. Duration of each lesson is around 10 to 20 minutes.
  • Review the existing lessons and structure of ELearning to have appropriate revision for finalization.
  • Create lessons based on the Employability skill training manual of SC that deliver essential information on each skill in clear and simple language with interesting examples and exercises that keep the target learners engaged and interactive.
 

II. Scope and Tasks:

The consultant is expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Work with the project team to develop and agree on a detailed work plan, timeline, deliverables and expectations on quality of the final products.
  • Study and review the materials provided by project team to understand the operation of ELearning’s platform, the curriculum design and expected learning outcomes.
  • Submit the plan for 3 new lessons of Elearning including scripts for voice-over, lessons’ activities, quizzes as well as storyboard directions for supplier (previous lesson plans will be provided for reference), and improvement plan for existing lessons of the two solutions including scripts, fixes and solutions for each issue,
  • Work with the supplier and the project team to finalise the revised plan.
  • For ELearning, after the offline version is approved, the supplier will upload the lessons on the platform. Consultant team will then review the online versions and check for any spelling mistakes, technical issues (blurred images, lessons failing to load, etc.) and work with the supplier for fixes. The project team will review the final online version before rolling-out to students.
  • Comply with Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy, Data protection and Privacy Policies.
 

III. Key Deliverables

  • Three new lessons to be uploaded to ELearning platform. (Becoming Professional, Rights and Safety at work, Problem-solving)
  • Revised content of 6 existing lessons in ELearning platform. (Self-exploration journey, Career Mapping, Job interview tips, Time and stress management, Financial literacy, Communication skills).
 

IV. Coordination

The consultant is expected to coordinate between the project team and the supplier for guidance, monitoring and timely delivery of outputs.

 

Main competencies required

The project team is looking for a consultant with expertise and experience in developing lessons with interactive exercises and illustrative animations/scenarios for online learning/learning application.

  • Have adequate experience in lesson/curriculum design and a good understanding of the online learning (interactions, time, and student behaviours, etc.)
  • Well-versed and resourceful with employability skills, soft-skills training materials.
  • Bachelor degree or higher major in pedagogy and/or at least 4 year-teaching/ consulting experience, preferably in the field of life skills/soft skills/employability skills training.
  • Experience developing online courses and lessons for learning application is desirable.
  • Experience working with iNGO in a youth employment project is a plus.
