Consultants with Expertise in Gender and Women’s Issues & Secondary Subject Areas

The Vietnam Field Support Services Project (FSSP) provides technical, administrative and logistical support services to Global Affairs Canada (GAC) for the planning, delivery and M&E of Canada’s cooperation with Vietnam. To facilitate the implementation of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) there is expanded demand from the Embassy of Canada in Hanoi for local expertise in gender equality and woman’s issues as they relate to a number of subject areas including:

  • Labour issues (women in the workforce) and human resources development;
  • Women's economic empowerment;
  • SMEs and cooperative development;
  • Public Financial Management;
  • Post-secondary education, training and skills development;
  • Environment and climate change
  • Ethnic minorities and other vulnerable groups;
  • Agriculture; and the
  • Banking and financial sectors.

The FSSP has been mandated to establish a roster of suitably qualified local consultants to provide demand responsive technical assistance to the Embassy of Canada. Minimum requirements for inclusion in the Gender Advisor Roster include: i) a university degree in a relevant field; ii) at least 5 years relevant professional experience; and iii) advanced English language skills, both written and verbal.

Suitably qualified and experienced individuals are invited to submit their CVs (maximum length 4 pages) and a short letter of introduction to: Tran Lan Huong at lanhuong@vnfssp.org for consideration. CV’s will be accepted through to 31 December 2019.

Promising candidates will be contacted in due course for follow up interviews. Remuneration levels will be based on the EU/UN Cost Norms for Local Consultants in Vietnam. Please note that inclusion on the FSSP GE Consultant Roster does not guarantee actual demand for services.
