1. ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
The Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization, focusing on youth and community development as well as international volunteer exchange. Founded in 2009 and based in Hanoi, Vietnam, CSDS develops and implements programs in different areas of the country to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam.
Volunteers for Peace Vietnam (VPV) is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 2005 with the aim to promote voluntary service as a means of cultural and educational exchange among people to generate peace and friendship, and as an approach to address social issues.
2. JOB DESCRIPTION
VPV/CSDS is currently looking for Local Volunteers’ positions for the Global Exchange Program.

✪ How you can help us:
Support International volunteers [IVs] during their volunteer service in VPV/CSDS, which includes:
- Help IVs in understanding more about staff at project site & Vietnamese local life (teach Vietnamese in the office, city tour, etc.)
- On their working period, IVs will get assigned into project sites and you will support them with translation and boost their interaction with children and staff at the placements;
- If required, guide and take IVs from VPV/CSDS to go the placements by public transports;
- Attend & co- organize with IVs to prepare and implement activities and special events in the project sites;
- Take care of, instruct and help children to participate in activities;
- Support cultural exchange activities, community activities and others organized by VPV/CSDS;
- Learn feedback from the staff and suggest to IVs what can be helpful for the placements;
- Update/share with the project coordinator(s) if anything should be noticed.
✪ Some requirements:
- From 18-25 years old and a Vietnamese citizen;
- Have high spirit of volunteerism and a strong desire to contribute to the community;
- Have good English communication skill;
- Commit to contribute at least 2 half days/ 4 hours a week (ready to work at weekend if needed) for at least 6 months;
- Be enthusiastic, responsible, receptive and proactive;
- Be able to and willing to take the IVs to working placements by bus as needed.
- We also welcome candidates who have experience in writing social media content and/or designing.

- Orientation period: The selected candidates are required to participate in the Orientation online/offline training sessions.
