Short term consultancy: DESIGNING GUIDEBOOK FOR LTP TRAINING

Background

VVOB – education for development is a Belgian organization and a non-profit organization with over 35 years of experience in improving the quality of education systems from a rights-based perspective.

VVOB Vietnam is implementing the project "Integrating Play-based Learning Activities for Young learners" in Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh city in the period from December 2019 to November 2023.

To encourage parents' support in applying play-through learning to their children's learning at home and in primary schools, the project cooperates with the Women's Union (WU) to implement parent awareness raising activities on LTP. The project plans to develop a set of posters that encourage parents to practice learning through play with their children. This set of posters will be used at parent group meetings in the communities. VVOB is looking for a consultant/agency to design the guidebook (about 48 pages) for trainers of how to use posters for training. Please refer to the attached TORs (in English and Vietnamese) for more information.

Scope of the assignment: to design the guidebook for trainers of how to use posters for training, including choosing fonts and themes, creating concept for the book, ensure the look and feel of the final product; providing layout and designing the guidebook aligned with the chosen concept.

Terms of the assignment

(1) Creating concept:

Propose 3 layout styles/concepts on the content provided in the Annex;
Propose appropriate fonts/typefaces aligned with the concept of the posters (example of 1 poster in Annex);

(2) Lay outing and designing the guidebook:

Use good, clear and symmetric layout for the guidebook;
Use A4 paper as reference size;
Most of the images and illustrations will be provided by VVOB, but the consultant may need to seek for appropriate (but simple) pictures/ icons/ graphics/ illustrations. Please foresee to acquire 5 photos/illustrations externally in the quotation..
