Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Instrument and Control Engineering

• Plenty of years of experience (Based upon experience) in engineering with EPC / EPCM contractors or Operation & Maintenance in the Power Plant Preferable Supercritical Thermal Power Plants

• Proficient in MS Office Applications and AutoCAD Applications

• Results oriented individual with robust technical abilities and capable to work under tight deadlines

• Able to work independently and in a team to achieve departmental goal of lean production

• Able to keep good relationship with all personnel at site and people in the living area

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Job Description:

• To undertake testing and commissioning of the following major electrical equipment’s but not limited to:

To support the Monitoring and Site installation works related instrumentation works like Mounting of Instrument stanchion, instrument installation like Pressure Transmitter, Thermocouple, RTD, etc.

Power and Distribution Transformers. (Ranging from 10MVA to 1200 MVA)

HT & LT switchgears (10kv, 3kv, 415v etc.)

Bus Ducts (Isolated Phase Bus Ducts, Non Segregated Phase Bus Ducts)

Commissioning activities with other groups (Mech Commissioning, Generator Commissioning, C&I, Switchyard etc.)

To have a sound knowledge in installation works of Instrumentation piping

UPS and DC battery Systems

Testing of HT, LT motors

Should have an experience in the calibration of control valves, On-Off Valves

Should have knowledge in the installation of Vibration Monitoring Systems

Should have knowledge in the Turbine Supervisory Instrument installation

Loop checking between Filed instrument to DCS

To perform the loop check for the DCS related works

Preparation of documents and certification of site work execution

Skilled to test and commissioning of Current Transformer, Capacitive Voltage Transformer, Circuit Breaker, Isolator, Earth Switch, Capacitor banks, Motor(VFD)

Have a good knowledge about instrument calibration works like Transmitter, thermocouple, rtd, level gauges but not limited to

Having a knowledge of Power Plant Process would be an added advantage

Coordination with other groups such as erection group, other Lots, and customer, etc.

• To ensure the safe Testing and Commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary plant milestones in accordance with the project schedule requirements

• Assist in the assessment of commissioning costs, maintenance cost, and safety studies

• To prepare and produce all testing and commissioning documentation, if required prepare the Method Statements and Commissioning procedures

• To schedule, coordinate and execute testing and full life cycle of onsite commissioning activities with tight deadlines and in line with the specified equipment requirements

• Monitoring progress and recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation as per approved ITPs

• To possess a good communication skills and have to liaise with the other consortium member’s and also deal with the Owner and its Owners Consulting team

• Troubleshooting, countermeasures and providing advice on operational procedures, schematic and drawings

• To schedule and supervise operational review with operational and engineering staff. And also to give OJT (On Job Training) to Owner Team as and when required

• Perform other administrative or engineering duties as assigned

• Working hours: regular office hours with occasional long day and some weekends depending on project deadlines
