Essential Duties
- Teach simple English grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills.
- Tailor lesson plans to meet specific student needs (focusing on the alphabet and numerals for pre-literacy level students).
- Act as a resource for students, giving information to help them survive and thrive in their new communities.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and personal information at all times.
- Document all contacts and services in client case files and maintain case note logs.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years of experience in teaching adults. Fluency in English. Superior written and oral communication skills are a must. The successful applicant must have experience working in a multi-cultural environment and must be sensitive to the cultural and linguistic needs of clients. The applicant must demonstrate creativity and initiative and a high level of organization. Previous work experience and interest in refugee resettlement and employment services is desired.
Other Skills
The successful candidate must be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Access) and internet applications.
