Event Assistance & Student Help

Vietnam is a fascinating country with a tumultuous past that over the last decades has experienced rapid and impressive socio-economic development. I am proud that Denmark has been a part of that development, which goes very well in hand with the dynamics of the bilateral relationship between our two countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971, Vietnam and Denmark have enjoyed strong cooperation. In particular, we have had strong and successful development cooperation for over 20 years. Today, Vietnam remains an important partner-country for the Danish government, and the main task for the Embassy in the years to come is to further strengthen our relations, not least our commercial ties.
The Embassy is inviting qualified candidates to apply for a vacant position as event assistance and student help in connection with a high level visit taking place at the end of November 2021. You will work on the high level visit, dealing with event locations, practical issues, making sure everything is in place for the visit and other issues related to the event. You will work in close cooperation with other colleagues in the Danish embassy as well as an external experienced event project lead. The positions requires very good Danish and English skills (written and orally) and high flexibility in working hours.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Work with embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark about the event

• Produce material for events (including timelines and budgets)

• Assist and coordinate suppliers

• Pre-event planning, organising and contact to guest speakers

• Produce material to embassy website and Facebook and LinkedIn in Danish and English

• Assist at event with practical assistance

Type of employment: Full time, 3 ½ month contract

Starting date: September 1st, 2021

Location: Danish Embassy in Vietnam, 7th Floor, BIDV Tower 194 Tran Quang Khai Street, Lý Thái Tổ, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, Vietnam

Required qualifications
• Master or Bachelor Degree or similar for event assistance position and finished high school for student position
• Working experience from carrying out events is a plus but not a requirement
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Fluent in English and Danish (or other Scandinavia language) – both oral and written.
• Be accurate and conscientious with a high degree of professional ethics and personal integrity.
• Have a structured mind-set, planning and coordination skills, a high sense of responsibility.
• Be able to work independently as well as in teams.
