FIELD BIOLOGIST

Working station: Danang city and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay Resort, Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa District, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam
Start day: 1st of January, 2021
MAIN TASKS AND SCOPE OF THE WORK
A field biologist will work full-time at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay resort under the long-term expert supply contract signed between GreenViet and Six Senses Corporation.
The main tasks of the field biologist are as follows:
1. Consult and implement wildlife research programs on nature conservation at the resort focusing on researching and monitoring the Black-Shanked douc langur population.
2. Consult solutions for wildlife management, protection, and sustainable development.
3. Support ecotourism activities of the resort and nature activities for tourists.
4. Raise awareness and train resort staff on knowledge and skills in friendly wildlife interaction.
5. Conduct awareness-raising activities about wildlife conservation in Ninh Van commune.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follow the regulations of the resort;
· Develop a clear and streamlined monthly work schedule and monthly reports in English;
· Report wildlife problems at the resort to the managers;
· Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings of GreenViet.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Degree in biology, forestry, environment related field
· At least 2 years of experience working on nature conservation
· Good at writing report and communication in English
· Passionate interest in wildlife conservation
· Hard-working, thoughtful, honest
· Good communication, independent working skills
BENEFIT:
· Salary: VND 10.000.000 – 16.000.000/month
· Social and health insurance based on Vietnam Labor Law
· Meal and accommodation will be arranged by Six Senses Ninh Van Bay at the field
· GreenViet will arrange accommodation and related expenses for travel in Danang city in accordance with GreenViet’s policies
