📌Job Description

Field coordination 
The Field Support Officers’ tasks will include providing support to Project coordinators in preparation and implementation of the project activities on the ground, working closely with local communities, government, project partners and key stakeholders (such as provincial governmental units, companies, NGOs, development partner agencies etc.).
Establishing and strengthening relationships 
The candidate will be expected to be actively involved and contributed to strengthen working relationships with key partners to ensure smooth implementation, including with government agencies at provincial, district, and communal levels, as well as with other key partners and stakeholders such as development partners/projects, farmers, smallholders, and local communities.
Organising project activities/field work 
  • The Field Support Officer needs to develop detailed implementation plans e.g., for improving knowledge and techniques of tree planting for communities, value chain actors, communes, with target villages or groups of beneficiaries/stakeholders.
  • The Field Support Officer will plan, organise and monitor project activities and field work (such as surveys, interviews, trainings, agricultural-forestry extension, and community development) with local partners and communities on the ground. This will involve basic administrative tasks such as preparing permission letters, identifying venues for workshops/meetings, or other suppliers of goods/services that the project may need in line with relevant SNV procedures and cost norms under guidance by relevant SNV colleagues and Project Manager.
  • Supporting the implementation of project activities/field work such as accompanying consultants, local experts, and other project staff on field visits and, facilitating project events, acting as a resource person for surveys, interviews, meetings, workshops, or other project activities in the field.
Accounting, financial management and reporting 
  • Work closely with the project assistant and finance department on basic project financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting tasks
  • Prepare reports to project managers on the progress and results of project activities in charge.
Technical assistance and other tasks 
The project is expected to work closely with DARD and relevant sub-departments such as Forest Protection Department, Agriculture Extension Centre, and experts to:
  • Provide regular supervision and recommendations for the activities implemented by consultants and partners in the provinces.
  • Participate in public-private-producer partnerships for inclusive value chain analysis and development.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of communication products.
  • Preparation of brief reports on project activities.
  • S/he will report on any issues, challenges/risks to the Project Manager.
Other tasks as required by the National Project Manager 

📌Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, rural development, or similar fields
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in agriculture and rural development
  • Specific working knowledge and professional experience of agroforestry and/or the Central Highlands region will be a distinct advantage

📌Additional Information

📌Other requirements 

  • Understanding of project implementation, execution, procedures, administrative systems, M&E systems, and finance processes
  • Experience in organizing and deploying field activities such as training, agriculture extension, community development activities.
  • Field work experience with iNGOs is an advantage.
  • Adequate understanding of financial and accounting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Power Points).
  • Takes initiative and creative in solving problems.
  • Willing to travel to districts and neighboring provinces.
