Consultant – Food Systems Curator

Consultant – Food Systems Curator to assist Vietnam’s Participation in a UN Food Systems Summit in 2021

The Vietnam Field Support Services Project (FSSP), a bilateral development project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), is seeking to recruit a part-time Consultant over the course of 2021 to serve as a Food Systems Curator. The international and/or national Consultant will work with a Food Systems Core Group (FSCG) of interested development partners in Vietnam that has been set up to engage food system stakeholders in national Dialogues at both the operational and policy level in order to support Vietnam’s participation in the 2021 Summit.

This is an exciting opportunity and exercise that requires both a sound policy awareness of both Vietnamese and international food systems as well as good facilitation and coordination skills. The Consultant will help the FSCG to identify and define challenges and opportunities within the current Vietnamese food system to be discussed at national level Dialogues. He/she will subsequently support the participation of the Vietnamese Delegation during the Summit, expected to be held by the end of 2021. The assignment will start in mid March and run until end of December, 2021.
