Full time Database Officer (DBO)

Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), an international NGO, is Oslo-based Humanitarian organization working in the field of Mine Action. We have operated in Vietnam since 2007 with projects in Hanoi, Hue , Quang Tri and Quang Binh. We are seeking for qualified, enthusiastic, experienced Vietnamese national applicants for a Full time Database Officer(DBO) based in NPA DBU Hue project office in Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province with travels to Hanoi and/or field offices in provinces as work required.

Main Function:

The Database Officer (DBO) shall, under the management and tasking of the DBU Technical Manager (DBU TM), conduct daily tasks related to data collection, entry, processing, analysis, geographic information system and mapping, and other relevant tasks at requests.

Area of Responsibility

Under the tasking of NPA IM Advisor(IMA) and DBU Technical Manager, the Database Officer shall conduct part of these technical scopes:

Data processing, centralizing, analysis and publishing
Data accuracy and integrity
Geographical Data and Information. Mappings & Map Publication
Data Entry. Data Quality

Specific Duties

The positions with the title Database Officer are assigned by DBU Technical Manager with tasks related to Data Entry, Data Processing, Data Quality Check, GIS, Data Analysis, Publication and Presenting ... flexibly based on monthly, weekly and daily schedules of TT Hue DBU Project Officer

Required qualification-experience

University or college degree of Computer Science or IT
Knowledge in computer handling and data acquisition
Good command of written and spoken English
Experience in SQL & databases and data tools (Access, SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL)
Experience in programming (Java, Python)
Experience in graphic applications (Photoshops, Corel)
Experience in GIS applications
Experience in Website management
Flexible, work hard, team work, work under pressure, and positive attitude.
