About The Library Project
The Library Project is an international non-profit that donates local language children's libraries to underfunded, rural elementary and secondary schools in Asia. We also conduct Literacy Programs and Teacher Trainings.
Fundraising Manager Overview
The Library Project is looking for an enthusiastic go-getter to fill our position of Fundraising Manager. The Fundraising Manager’s main responsibility will be to build new corporate partnerships both inside and outside of Vietnam. These partnerships will provide schools with high-quality children's libraries and give companies a meaningful way to give back to the community. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for negotiating terms and creating proposals with these companies. The Fundraising Manager will need to have a "big picture" mindset in order to create partnerships that are financially necessary for the organization and equally beneficial for our partner companies and beneficiary schools. The Fundraising Manager will complete donor reports and occasionally help with external communication via blogs and social media. This position is very externally facing and will often act as the “face” of the organization in Vietnam.
We are currently a small organization, so we’re looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, energetic and a self-starter. This is a great opportunity to use your strong communication and networking skills to help improve education in Vietnam.
Main Responsibilities
Corporate Partnership Development
- develop relationships with companies domestically in Vietnam and abroad for donations
- consistently build a potential donor list of new companies
- write and negotiate corporate proposals for sponsorships
- develop relationships with individuals outside of the country for donations
- maintain good relations with all past and current donors
- complete reports for donors
Communications
all communication will be done in Vietnamese and English languages
- increase awareness of the organization via online communication
- write press releases for our website and social media
- develop seasonal giving strategies
- attend networking and other events for public speaking engagements
Requirements
- University degree
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English (native-level Vietnamese fluency required)
- Can pass criminal background check

- Experience building corporate partnerships in Vietnam

Other Information
This is a full time, salaried position. General working hours are M-F daytime, however for this position there may be occasional evening and/or weekend work due to networking or fundraising events. This position will occasionally join our donation trips throughout the Mekong Delta region. This position is located in Ho Chi Minh City. The organization does not support relocation costs.
