Global Philanthropy and Partnerships Project and Content Manager


ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children is launching its ambitious 2022-2024 strategic plan with the aim of significantly increasing both unrestricted and smart restricted funds (smart restricted is defined as income from corporate partnerships, major donors and foundations that funds the priority programmes for children).
This is a new role, interacting with senior fundraisers and leaders internationally.
The Global Philanthropy & Partnerships (P&P) Project and Content Manager will help support, connect, and grow the global Save the Children community of philanthropy and corporate fundraising professionals.
The Global Philanthropy and Partnership team of Save the Children International provides strategic support and technical guidance to our Members in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. A number of the team members work remotely and the location of this job is flexible.
This role will be responsible for helping develop and manage a portfolio of projects and a bank of content which supports fundraising within the Philanthropy and Partnerships community.
More specifically, this role will manage “Project Sponsorship” as a key priority in this strategy cycle. Project Sponsorship engages corporates, major donors and foundations to fund tangible specific field activities within their desired giving level with a minimum contribution $5,000. This role will work with Country office teams, Global Strategy teams and Philanthropy and Partnerships practitioners to develop and manage the portfolio of projects and related content to motivate and inspire donors to support.
The Global Philanthropy and Partnerships Project and Content Manager will coordinate the development of strong content to benefit Members and assist offices with unique selling proposition development where appropriate. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary work hours accordingly.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Required
  • Strong project management skills, and proven ability to devise and operate to contingency planswhere necessary.
  • Knowledge and understanding of program work and fundraising principles.
  • Proven expertise in servicing donors. Understands how to successfully position and market products, identify and address client needs to increase satisfaction and engagement
  • Experience of working with diverse teams, consultants and agencies.
  • Experience of managing and working in cross-organisational working groups with strong co-ordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with an open-minded attitude.
  • The ability to influence and motivate others and to foster collaboration; to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures, and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English
  • The ability to travel. International travel will be required to carry out this role when virtual working and remote management is not optimal.

Desirable

  • Experience of developing program descriptions and reports into donor focused communications is highly desirable.
  • Experience of living and working for extended periods in countries with different cultures
  • The ability to work in a second language. Ideally, this would be a language from one of our Members

We can offer circa £46,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
