PSI currently seeks a talented and motivated individual to work as HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER with our dynamic, results-oriented team in Hanoi.

This position will be 2-year full-time contract with possibility of extension, reports to PSI’s Program Director

Job summary: The Health Services Manager (HS Manager) is leader of the Health Services team that is responsible for technical aspects of all health areas of PSI program in Vietnam, including HIV/TB, malaria, reproductive health and Non-Communication Diseases (NCD). She/he will manage the team to train, coach and monitor the performance of affiliated private clinics, pharmacies and service delivery events to ensure compliance to national guidelines and global best practices. The position will provide technical support and capacity development for program team, partners on health care knowledge and skill and represent PSI’s position on health-related subjects.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of PSI strategy and program from Health Services aspects including inputs for PSI internal reporting on HS targets;
  • Provide technical expertise to Departments of Program and Knowledge Management & Communication (KMC) in program implementation and M&E;
  • Manage the HS team, including performance management, providing leadership, coaching and guidance and ensuring that the management of the team is line with PSI’s HR policies and procedures;
  • Lead the development and implementation of medical Quality Assurance (QA) and detailing plan for PSI commodities/services;
  • Develop training materials on reproductive health, malaria and hypertension care for private clinics in accordance to PSI global standard and national guidelines and conduct trainings;
  • Ensure that PSI health-related service delivery programs be compliance with Vietnamese law, medical guidelines, donor regulations and global best practices;
  • Contribute to project proposal development and reports to funders; ensure all Health Services activities and in-line with department costed work-plan;
  • Represent PSI at stakeholder meetings including donor, central and provincial levels with government partners to communicate PSI’s position and expertise on health-related areas;
  • Advice KMC department on research plan, design and develop Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, promotion items and Behavior Change Communication (BCC) activities for target groups on health knowledge and skills;
  • Perform other duties as identified by the Program Director and senior management team (SMT) that will maximize health impact delivered under program activities.

Qualification requires:

  • Medical Doctor degree, Physician and/or OBGYN are preferred;
  • Substantial knowledge about public health issues and health sector priorities in Vietnam;
  • Experience in managing and monitoring development projects, especially those related to public health areas;
  • Sound experience on capacity building with ability to implement on-site and off-site training;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team and provide capacity development support to team members;
  • Analytical thinking skills and abilities to influence others;
  • Excellent interpersonal and crossed teamwork skills;
  • Fluency in English & Vietnamese.

Annual gross salary range US$ 19,565 - US$ 43,940 (pending candidate’s expertise) PLUS other competitive benefits & fringes
