- Lead on ongoing data quality improvement efforts across all Save the Children International offices ensuring the ongoing integrity, efficiency, and availability of the data
- Develop and implement data standards, guaranteeing data is captured correctly, and creating methods for monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with HRIS, HR leadership and global HR Oracle champions network to maintain data quality
- Lead on the system governance to ensure it meets organisational need, recommending improvements and changes where required
- Ensure the efficiency of the data integration between Oracle HR and other SCI systems such as the LMS
- Establish reporting requirements and conduct analysis to deliver high quality end work to Save the Children International’s HR teams and line managers, sense checking data to identify errors
- Ensure that internal analysis solutions, tools & products are appropriate for current and future requirements.
- Develop and maintain reporting with Oracle OTBI and Power BI
- Maintain accurate, version controlled, documentation throughout all work activities, which is readily available to key stakeholders, and ensure the knowledge is disseminated
- Train HR users on how to use the simple reporting interface and dashboards and provide ongoing support to user groups on understanding and interpreting data
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
- SQL (preferably Oracle SQL)
- Experience using Power BI and OTBI
- Advanced ability in using Microsoft Excel to summarise and graphically represent data. Also experienced in use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong written communications skills, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Can-do attitude and proven track record of successful troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Demonstrate good understanding to data protection considerations in a data and reporting analysis role.
Desirable:
- Experience using analysis and statistical skills in a business environment.
- Ability to apply already known or newly learnt statistical techniques to human resource data.
- Communication – Communicating to and with others effectively, both in writing and orally to present analytical findings.
- Interpersonal Skill – Applying appropriate social skills in formal and informal interactions and across a variety of situations to build effective relationships.
- Teamwork – Participating as a team member – putting in required effort and communication to ensure the team is effective.
- Planning – Establishing a course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a specific goal.
- Analytical Ability – Effectiveness in analysing situations and identifying issues and an enthusiasm to learn how to look for possible causes or problems and securing relevant information. Good problem-solving skills through effective use of data and systems.
- Technical Translation – Converting information from technical documents and other sources into a communication understandable by laymen. Communicate technical information and concepts in written or oral form to non-technical audiences.
- Resilience – Maintain performance under pressure, change, uncertainty and setbacks and be able to adapt own approach to cope with change. Adaptable and flexible, showing ability to re-prioritise work as client demands dictate.
We can offer circa £44,000 per annum with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
