Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of 45 days of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

II. DUTIES: 

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisory HR Specialist (SHRS), incumbent of this position will perform a variety of personnel functions including:

  • Local Employed (LE) Staff Recruitment
  • Position classification
  • Training program
  • Official Residence Expense (ORE) program
  • LE staff annual leave donation program
  • Duty officer program
  • Other general administrative tasks as assigned
  • Back-up support to other HR staff as needed

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least three years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or administrative field is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • In depth knowledge of local labor law, general office operations and procedural requirements pertaining to functions performed in an HR Office.

Education Requirements:

University/College studies is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:

Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)

Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have:

  • Accurate typing skills and attention to detail is a must.
  • Knowledge of software programs, particularly Microsoft office suites and other software i.e.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Writing skills (This will be tested)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Vietnam may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources (HR) Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
