The Opportunity
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the – Humanitarian Fund Reporting Officer in London or at any existing Save the Children office location.
Role Purpose:
The Humanitarian Fund Reporting Officer is responsible for establishing and maintaining the reporting cycle for the Humanitarian Fund and producing additional reporting on SC humanitarian responses as required. The Officer will set up and manage, under the direction of the Humanitarian Fund Manager a reporting process for the Humanitarian Fund and is accountable for the delivery of quarterly reports, the annual report and additional reports as might be required. The Officer ensures that information products are tailored for use to support internal decision-making and external engagement and will identify options for continuous improvement to support quality and timely flow of information. The Officer supports general reporting and visualisation of humanitarian response data at the global level on behalf of the SCI Humanitarian Team.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Dimensions: The Humanitarian Fund Reporting Officer reports to the Humanitarian Fund Manager. The Officer works closely with the Humanitarian Response and Preparedness Team, the Head of Humanitarian Performance and Information Management and the broader SCI Humanitarian team. The Officer maintains a strong network with counterparts at country, regional and global level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Under the leadership of the Humanitarian Fund Manager establish and manage global reporting for the Humanitarian Fund.
- Responsible for producing the quarterly and annual report for the Humanitarian Fund and possible additional products to support fundraising efforts.
- Design new report and publications using appropriate software and contribute to the continuous improvement of humanitarian information products in collaboration with the Humanitarian Performance and Operational Data Lead.
- General support to humanitarian data visualisation to improve decision making and raise visibility of humanitarian work across the global portfolio.
- Deploy to emergencies to support the delivery of humanitarian and information outputs as required.

Essential
- Proven project management experience in a humanitarian information and communications capacity.
- Experience working in information management, communications or knowledge management.
- Strong understanding of NGO operations and Save the Children’s position in the wider humanitarian community.
- Good understanding of global humanitarian work / policies / strategies with working knowledge of humanitarian affairs.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to motivate, influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to distil complex information and materials into digestible and inspiring messages for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in setting up new processes and ways of working to deliver high-quality information products or tools targeting a diverse range of audiences.
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills, with an ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple demands and competing priorities while maintaining high-quality standards
- Attention to detail and ability to follow tasks and ideas through to completion.
- Significant ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt work plans flexibly depending on external opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across cultures and an ability to promote and lead on integrated working.
- Experienced in using Sharepoint and software to design reports and information products such as Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Spark.

Desirable
- Working knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic
QUALIFICATIONS
Educated to degree level in a relevant field (e.g., International Development; Politics, International Relations; global health). Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable.
We can offer circa £31,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible of working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in (Location) or any existing Save the Children office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
