Illustration & Design Service Provider (WVV)

Background

World Vision is a Christian relief and development organisation working to create lasting changes in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. As a child-focused organization, World Vision’s work focuses on children, ensuring they are protected and their basic needs are met.

Purpose of Position

To use as New Year gifts for our staff, sponsors, partners and the communities, World Vision Vietnam’s Calendar and Notebook need to be well-designed while reflecting the organization’s spirit. For that reason, the Communication Department seeks to hire an illustrator & designer to bring a new look for the Calendar and Notebook which feature World Vision values, impacts and reflect our 35 years of work in Vietnam since 1988. Besides, we also join our recipients to usher in a new year with happy vibes from our joyful benefited children and communities as demonstrated in the products.

Key Responsibilities

I. Objective of the Consultancy Service:

The main objective of this service is to celebrate 35 years of World Vision Vietnam's work service since 1988. Besides, we want to renew the look of World Vision Vietnam’s New Year gift products (Calendar, Notebook) with new illustrations and design.

II. Specific Tasks for the Consultancy Service Provider:

The service provider will be required to provide a complete design of 2024 Calendar and Notebook using WVV’smaterials (brand elements, photos, and information).

III. Expected Outputs/Deliverables:

Calendar: A stand type. Totally 26 pages: Cover (WVV’s introduction page), Back (contact info page), 12 calendar pages (front) + 12 photos with message pages (back)

Notebook: Totally about 12 pages of design. Two cover pages (front and back), one contact info page, one WVV’s introduction page, 8 colour pages (message+photo decor)

The design shall feature illustrations of children playing joyfully and icons that reflect WVV’s 6 different programs. Besides, embedded the 35 years mark at some places in both Calendar and Notebook design.

The design for both products need to be consistent. Mood & tone: elegant, warm-hearted and joyful.

Knowledge & Skill

I. Required Qualifications and Experience of the Service Provider

The service provider will be required to have the following:

• Proven competence in design & digital painting
• Familiarity with World Vision Vietnam’s program and beneficiary groups
• Familiarity with World Vision Vietnam’s visual standards and principles

II. Timeline

• The “Call for interest” phase will last from September 7, 2023 until September 13, 2023
• The supplier selection process will last until September 20, 2023
• This whole service package shall be completed on October 15th 2023.
